POWER_MANAGEMENT
Category: 07. IoT / Hardware / Robotics
Section: Phase 2: Technical Blueprint
9. POWER_MANAGEMENT.md
Purpose: To define power source, battery life, and energy optimization.
Act as a power systems engineer.
Using the Hardware Schematic and Firmware Rules below, create a Power Management document for this IoT hackathon project.
HARDWARE_SCHEMATIC: [PASTE HARDWARE_SCHEMATIC]
FIRMWARE_RULES: [PASTE FIRMWARE_RULES]
Provide:
1. Power source (USB, Battery, Solar, DC Adapter)
2. Voltage and current requirements per component
3. Total power consumption estimate
4. Battery capacity and expected runtime
5. Power regulators and converters (Buck, Boost, LDO)
6. Power-saving techniques (Sleep modes, Duty cycling, Peripheral shutdown)
7. Power monitoring (If applicable)
8. Safety considerations (Overvoltage, Short circuit)
9. Fallback if power runs out during the demo
10. A checklist for developers to verify power before the demo
Explain each concept in beginner-friendly language.
Keep the power management simple and realistic for a hackathon.
