TRD
Category: 09. Cybersecurity
Section: Phase 1: Problem Definition
3. TRD.md (Technical Requirements Document)
Purpose: To translate the PRD into technical specifications focused on security tools, target environment, and detection logic.
You are a senior security engineer helping a beginner hackathon team.
Using the PRD below, create a Technical Requirements Document (TRD).
PRD:
[PASTE PRD]
Create the TRD with these sections:
1. System overview
2. Security stack choice (Python, SIEM, EDR, Cloud — justify the choice)
3. Target environment (Web app, Network, Cloud, Endpoint)
4. Detection requirements (Signatures, Anomalies, Heuristics)
5. Log collection and parsing requirements
6. Alerting and notification requirements
7. Data storage requirements (Logs, Events, Indicators of Compromise)
8. Automation and response requirements (SOAR)
9. Encryption and key management requirements
10. Compliance and legal requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
11. Testing requirements (Penetration testing, Vulnerability scanning)
12. Deployment requirements
Keep the security stack simple and realistic for a 24-48 hour hackathon.
Explain all security concepts in beginner-friendly language.
Do not introduce unnecessary tools.
